Remembering His Life and Service
Robert was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran who later served approximately 17 years as a Framingham firefighter. He was the department union’s second president during the mid-1960s and helped lead the successful effort to reduce the workweek from 48 to 42 hours in July 1969. Before and after his fire service he worked as a skilled meat cutter, and he enjoyed buying, selling, and restoring antiques.
Biographical information preserved and summarized from the family-supplied obituary and Tom Rinoldo’s note.

We remember his service, friendship, and place in the Framingham Fire Department family.
